“This is the most beautiful venue.  Our guests kept asking how we found out about this place.  There are amazing flowers everywhere and the corner we chose to have the ceremony was so picturesque.  A lot of the photos our guests took look genuinely professional because the settings were so gorgeous…

Marylou was a huge help.  In the months leading up to the wedding, she promptly responded to my many questions via both text and email.  In general, I found that Marylou was extremely dedicated to seeing that my vision for the day happened.  She has a lot of expertise on how to handle logistics and make sure everything was actually doable, and then she did so much to help execute it on the day of…Lastly, the bridal room and the reception tent are top notch.  The bridal room is equipped with great lighting, four giant full-lengh mirrors, a bathroom, curtains for changing, a mini-fridge, and glasses for drinks!  The tent has a great dance floor, the cutest lighting, and even fans built into the ceiling.  Marylou also has furniture like a bar and cake table which were very handy.

I would recommend this venue to anyone that wants an outdoor wedding in the Seattle area.”

“I got married here this past weekend and everything went by so smoothly.  This venue is great because the venue cost includes a tent (with lights already on the tent), chairs and tables.  The venue in turn also sets up the chairs and tables for you so you don’t have to… The garden is beautifully managed and Marylou is there during the entire event to assist if you need her, to offer advise and to help out when needed…

I got so many compliments from my guests about his venue and the amazing gardens!  Would recommend to anybody who is thinking about having an outdoor wedding.”

“My husband and I got married at Shooting Star Gardens nearly 2 years ago, and our friends and family are STILL talking about how fun the day was and how beautiful the venue is!  Marylou, (Owner of Shooting Star Gardens) was absolutely wonderful to work with!  She answered my questions every step of the way and helped with more than I expected.  She allowed a group of us to tour the venue when we first started planning, and a rehearsal the day before was included.  She was around all day handling little details and helping out guests during our wedding – which was especially helpful since I didn’t hire a wedding planner.  She even had all kinds of cute props and extras like chairs, benches, drink buckets, a blackboard, etc that were available for use, and an area to store our decor overnight the day before.  The grounds are so beautiful and well maintained, and made for amazing photos with a variety of backgrounds.  ALL of our guests loved the venue and had a great time.  Thank you Marylou!”

“Me and my husband got married here July 9th and we could not have asked for a better day.  We originally had planned on having a very small wedding because we didn’t want a wedding planner but as the time went on we ended up doubling our guest list and still had no planner so we could not have done this without Marylou.  She was there to answer every single question I had very quickly and was constantly giving me ideas for things I had a hard time with.  I loved feeling like my day mattered and that things could always be made to work if it wasn’t right without trying to squeeze every penny out of us.  I feel like a lot of big over priced venues in the city make it about the money and not about the couple so we appreciated feeling like we were important.

“I knew I wanted to get married outdoors. I needed a place that didn’t make me use their overpriced catering. I couldn’t have imagined a better place than Shooting Star Gardens.
Marylou is incredible. She was so kind and had no problem answering all of my million questions. She was there the whole day and acted as a coordinator (telling DJ’s the best place to set up, etc.)
When I was touring the facilities, she was talking to me about what it would look like day of the wedding. I had a difficult time imagining it, but when I finally saw it, it exceeded my expectations.
Bottom line: this place is beyond beautiful, reasonably priced and the owner is great. I would do it again in a second.”

“The Gardens were a gorgeous location with many options for a rain or shine, large or small wedding. We had a fairly large wedding on a hot day in august. there was a great spot for the ceremony on the lawn surrounded by flowers with a forest backdrop. Then we moved to a covered tent with fans to keep everyone cool. It was a perfect set up.

Marylou is also fantastic. She provided all the assistance we needed and gave great advice but was not pushy with her opinions. She also did all the set up and take down and was there throughout the whole wedding to make sure things were going smoothly.

You couldn’t pick a better location and helpful wedding planner than this. And the pricing was extremely reasonable. We absolutely loved our wedding here.”
